Lori Cumpston Harrison is a 1981 graduate of Cedaredge High School and a former classmate of Roger Ellison. After graduating from Western State College in Gunnison, Colorado, she went on to become a television reporter and anchor in Missoula, Montana and Bismarck, North Dakota. She also worked as a TV news producer in Phoenix, Arizona. Later she turned her talents to print working as a feature writer for the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel covering the Roger Ellison story. Lori is currently a freelance journalist and a member of the Colorado Press Association. She has received numerous awards for outstanding journalism during her 20-year career. Her work has appeared in many regional and national publications, including The Denver Post, The Dallas Morning News, The Chicago Tribune, Sunset, Mountain Living, Fodor’s and American Profile. She lives in Grand Junction, Colorado, with her husband, John.
